Relax at the Inn with your favorite book. You can watch outside for the appearance of deer, wild turkeys, moose, hawks, or hummingbirds. You can also enjoy the outdoor recreation and area activities available in Mt. Washington Valley. Bill is always happy to help you plan your day, offer insights into the area, and provide maps for getting from the inn to there.

When you return, unwind during afternoon tea enjoying Paula's home baked treats in front of one of our traditional wood burning fireplaces in either our large living room or the Mt. Surprise Room when days are cool. On the warmer days, you can sit on our front porch watching the birds, hummingbirds, chipmunks, and red squirrels or select a spot in the sun or shade in one of our Adirondack chairs.

During summer, our large heated pool and patio is open for a refreshing swim, relaxation on one of our reclining lawn chairs, or gathering by the shaded table for refreshment and conversation. Families can also gather around our newly built 10-foot long picnic table made by our favorite talented carpenters, R&R Woodworkers. Guests can soak in our seasonal open air hot tub viewing the mountains and forest by day or stars by night. Weather permitting on some early evenings, you can join others around the fire pit and be inspired by the various colors and clouds unique to our New Hampshire sky at sunset. You may be lucky enough to hear the barred owls hooting their distinct call beckoning to each other at night.
