Elizabeth is the Owner and Director of Marketing & Culinary at Buttonwood Inn in North Conway, New Hampshire. With over 20 years of experience in the food service and hospitality industry, she brings both creativity and strategy to everything she does.
What Did You Do Before Running Buttonwood Inn on Mt Surprise?
A graduate of Johnson & Wales University, Elizabeth earned her associate degree in culinary arts and a bachelor’s degree in business in 2009. She is a classically trained chef who began her career working in high-end, Italian, and casual cuisine restaurants throughout Newport and Providence, Rhode Island.
Elizabeth spent a decade with Sysco Foodservice, including six years as an Executive Chef supporting customers with menu development, food cost management, recipe testing, staff training, and new restaurant openings. She later served four years as a Protein Specialist, gaining extensive expertise in the beef and seafood markets through advanced industry training.
In December 2025, Elizabeth and her husband relocated to nearby Bartlett with their two young daughters. Today, she combines her culinary background, marketing experience, and passion for hospitality to create a welcoming and thoughtful guest experience at Buttonwood Inn—where great food, warm service, and attention to detail are always on the menu.
